Natasha's major at university was medicine. Coincidentally, the girl who had recommended her, Trina Clem, had also studied medicine.
Recently, Hawthorn University posted an announcement inviting alumni back for a celebration. The university's medical research lab developed a new patented invention, which was sold to a major company.
"Are you sure Trina will come back?" Natasha asked.
Natasha thought of the worst-case scenario, but Owen was clearly more optimistic.
"Even if we can't find Trina, we can always ask her classmates. If there's a lead, we'll find it. If we do nothing, the clues won't just fall into our laps," Owen said.
Taking a deep breath, Natasha nodded. "You're right. As long as we have a lead, it's better than having nothing to go on."
