Jaxson's heart sank at Diana's troubled look. He knew all too well that neither Elinor nor Adrian wanted anything to do with her. Elinor had been in the dark about Diana's identity before and that remained so. His aversion to her was palpable, and it seemed to have rubbed off on Adrian, who was now keeping his distance from Diana. Adrian used to be quite amiable, but something shifted after he found out about Jaxson’s connection to Diana. He just did not care for her anymore. "Don't worry about it. He'll come around and see how great you are eventually." Diana shook her head.
