Chapter 294
Mona leaned back against my chest as the setting sun hits that perfectly magical spot between the horizon and the sky again.
“It's just so beautiful.” She observed in a murmur.
I wrapped my arms tighter around her, feeling the rock of the boat as the waves lulled us back and forth. "It always is."
She hummed, resting her head against my shoulder and letting her fingers tease my knuckles gently. The scent of her shampoo, something soft and sweet, had completely intoxicated me.
“Hungry?"
She spun around and sighed, "I thought you'd never ask!"
Chuckling at her eager response, I guided her below deck, making sure to
stop her from hitting her head, and reveal the candle-lit meal of champagne and crab cakes that I prepared for her. She gasped and hurried over, taking a seat before I could behave like a gentleman.
“This looks amazing!" she confessed, wiggling with excitement.
Laughing once again, I said, "Well, dig in."
