Joan’s family owned this club, so she could talk to them about the picture policy tonight.
Yeah, I wouldn’t want any one taking pictures of me touching the strippers.
I didn’t need to worry about getting drunk either.
The DJ behind the desk is one of my favorites, her hair was twisted in braids at the top of her head, smashed by her big headphones. She threw me a wave as I walked in.
I made a beeline for the bar, and Caden remained behind me.
He broke stride and headed to the left, sitting at a table along the wall, I continued to the bar, getting my usual vodka.
Joan and I meandered to the dance floor.
The music pumped in my chest, pushing its life force through my veins. My hips swayed to the beat.
When I danced, the music lifted me up and the world around me disappeared.
The lights were low, the people were blurry and my worries melted away.
I had no idea how long I danced and drank. But I knew Joan and I were having so much fun.
