Chapter 184: Foolish Words
Henry worried aloud, “I’m afraid childbirth will be too hard on my wife when the baby grows up.”
Giselle burst into laughter, “Henry, babies have to grow to be born, and they can’t be nursed if they don’t.”
It took a moment, but Henry finally realized the absurdity of his question.
Yet, with a straight face, he responded, “Technology still has a long way to go.”
He then helped Giselle up from the bed as if nothing had been wrong, and led her out of the diagnostic room.
Back at home, Giselle couldn’t wait to share the incident with her friend, Megan Shaw. Over the phone, they both clutched their stomachs, cackling.
“Giselle, if you hadn’t told me, I’d never believe Henry could do something so utterly childish,” Megan exclaimed between bursts of laughter.
