Chapter 47: A Debt That Can Never Be Repaid
Alicia wasn’t about to let Charles get the upper hand. She quickly brought up a story from years ago, when Charles had been recovering in the hospital. Now, Alicia was ready to argue with him over anything to make herself feel better.
“I’m not as strong as you, Duke Charles, who once cried like a baby from a simple injection.”
