Miranda froze, caught off guard. Seeing that, Lucas sneered. He knew she couldn't let go. He almost respected her for getting this far. Maybe, for the sake of keeping the peace, he could give a little ground. As he looked at her, he realized Miranda never took care of herself, always thinking only of Jake, never dressing up.
