#Chapter 44- First Dates
Nolan POV
Fiona, surprisingly, is sitting with two women at one of the café tables I haven’t noticed her spending time with any of the employees around her, and I’m glad that she’s finally starting to reach out to others.
After the other night, she’s been extremely quiet around me, and I can’t help but feel guilty. Having her so close triggered a bout of heat in me and had my wolf urging me to take her. I was drunk and barely in control of myself, which makes my chest burn with embarrassment every time I look at her.
I haven’t found the right time to apologize, either, so the both of us are acting as if it didn’t happen.
“Should have marked her,” my wolf rumbles, his dissatisfaction clear in his tone and the way he claws at the barrier between us.
“No. I’ve told you that she is not ours, so stop thinking of it,” I growl. He won’t drop this mate nonsense, and every time he brings it up, I get more agitated. Pair that with the splitting headache I have, and I understand why
