#Chapter 66- Solutions
Fiona POV
“She’ll be alright,” I whisper, looking over at Nolan. He paces the floor of Chloe’s room. The nurse that the hospital sent to Nolan’s home is hooking Chloe up to an IV.
“For now, we’ll wait for the blood test results to come back, but this could be a case of her fainting from the shock of hearing about the company’s troubles,” the nurse says, turning to us.
Nolan stops pacing and faces her too, “How long will it take for the results to come back?”
“It could take several days, even with me rushing the lab,” she answers, and I bite my lip. Days? Chloe doesn’t look well enough to last several days without a definite medicinal recovery path. She’s pale, almost ghostly, and beats of sweat are forming on her forehead.
Grabbing the wet cloth from the side table, I dab it across her forehead.
“She has a fever,” I say.
“Yes, the IV should help with that, while we wait.”
