#Chapter 69- Truth vs. Lies
Fiona POV
She won’t wake up.
“Chloe?” I gently shake her shoulder, getting mor rough when she doesn’t stir. “Chloe, you have to wake up. Wake up now.”
Her eyes don’t open and when I touch her wrist, her pulse is weak again. She hasn’t been getting better, but up until this point she also hadn’t gotten worse.
“Nolan!” I cry, rushing to the door. He looks up from his laptop, and something on my face must alert him to the seriousness of the situation. “Chloe won’t wake up. She… her pulse is too slow.”
He jumps up and follows me back into the room, grabbing his phone on his way.
“Grab my keys and get the car. We’re going to the hospital,” Nolan orders. I do as he says, running to the other room to grab our things while he wraps a blanket around Chloe and carries her out of the room.
I jump in the driver’s seat as Nolan climbs into the back seat. He situates Chloe in his lap, and once they’re settled, I begin driving. I try to keep my driving calm while still speeding to
