Roseline’s POV
My mind was in chaos as I hurriedly got in to a cab.
Soon, I stood at Isaac’s family home— the place where I ‘ve spent most of my childhood between ages six and eighteen.
It now meant nothing to me—even the people inside meant nothing.
My eyes landed at once on Isaac and Ann. Their shocked faces betrayed them.
I bet they were wondering what I was doing in the mansion –a rejected woman had no business returning to the home of her ex-fiancée.
Alice wasn’t left behind. She sneered irritably while asking” what are you doing here crashing on a family’s dinner?”
A family dinner!
I’ll rather find another family dinner but not them.
Isaac’s mother too sneered, disregarding the neatly arranged food on the table.
One seat was vacant on the table—it was for Isaac’s father, who’d already passed away.
My face remained calm.
I didn’t care about this people.
So, whatever they thought about me was insignificant. I only wanted to know what become of my inheritance.
