Her face went ghostly white, a mix of shame and confusion written all over it. She opened her mouth to argue, yet words seemed to fail her. She just fell silent.
I was not the same Yvette I used to be. To say I was not hurt or upset would be a lie, but I was not going to let it wreck me.
