Mia
The car door opened and slammed shut, and there he was, Lorenzo, towering over me, his face a mask of fury. His eyes scanned me from head to toe, his disgust palpable. A wave of nausea washed over me. This was the man who had turned my life upside down, the architect of my misery. Hate, pure and unadulterated, consumed me. I wanted to lash out, to hurt him, to make him pay for what he had done to me and my mother.
He approached me, his eyes scanning me with a cold, calculating gaze. His face, usually masked by a veneer of calm, was now etched with a cruel satisfaction.
"You look like a tramp," he sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "This isn't a casual gathering, Mia. It's a formal event."
"Never said I was coming."
" How dare you defy me?" His voice rose. "This is your first and last warning, Mia. Don't test my patience. Get your ass inside and presentable."
He nodded to his men. I thrashed against their hold, my nails digging into their skin, my screams muffled
