Vivi’s POV
I couldn’t help myself.
I stood there, laughing under my breath, almost mocking at how ridiculous it was that Aaron was standing on my doorstep, holding a bouquet of flowers.
He had ignored my calls for days, shut his phone off like some moody teenager.
And yet here he was, on the other side of the door, his face stiff with something between regret and impatience, holding out those damn flowers like he was some romantic hero in a cheesy movie.
“Really?” I muttered under my breath, staring at him in disbelief. “Now you come around?”
I leaned casually against the doorframe of his car, arms crossed, and gave him my best ‘you didn’t see this coming’ look.
“Aaron,” I started, letting the word slide off my tongue, “So after you finally decided to show up, you're just going to be spewing too much nonsense, is that it?”
He was tense—too tense.
There was something about his energy, his aura, that told me something was off. Not that it mattered.
