Liv’s POV
Back at my office, the sound of the clock ticking echoed through the otherwise silent office, reminding me that time was slipping away.
My fingers ached from the long hours of using my pencil. But I couldn’t afford to mess this up.
Kaelon’s expectations hung over me like a dark cloud, and no matter how much I hated to admit it, the pressure felt like a heavy weight on my shoulders.
I had promised to deliver, and deliver I would.
The sketch pads on my desk seemed endless, spread out like a labyrinth of paperwork and design plans. I shuffled through them, scanning for errors and double-checking every little detail. The clock on the wall moved faster than I wanted it to, but I refused to let that stop me. The designs had to be perfect.
I glanced at the calendar on my screen, the date flashing in front of me. The end of the week was quickly approaching, and I still had so much to do. So many sketches to perfect, so many decisions to make.
A soft knock on my office door snapped me
