CHAPTER 321: LEAVE US ALONE

"Please pick up, Laurie," George muttered under his breath, trying to reach Lauretta over the phone. He gulped in some air and waited a while before redialing her number. This time, the number was switched off. Last night, Katarina came over, and they accidentally kissed. He only knew it was Katarina's planned move when she took a photo of them. "Damn it, Katarina," he cursed softly. George knew how much Lauretta assumed the worst in situations like this. He hoped it wasn't too late to make amends. Lauretta had already accused him of playing games and being intimate with her last night, and now there was this photo with Katarina. He brushed his hair back in frustration, deciding to go home to freshen up. "Maybe after a meal and some sleep, I'll think of a way to apologize," he thought. Even though he knew he wasn't wrong, he needed to find a way to make Lauretta see that there was nothing between him and Katarina. He headed home, the day's weight heavy on his shoulders, hoping for c
