CHAPTER 356: MORE THAN A MAYBE

Monroe’s trial began earnestly as evidences against where quite much. Most of his unknown victims came forward upon hearing that the law had finally caught up with him. Perhaps some or even all of them would finally find the closure they needed to move on from his debauchery. It was his third trial already, and all his victims, including Maddy and Carol, had filed for restitution and damages. The first ones had mainly focused on his fraudulent acts and sexual crimes against women ( Apparently, Maddy was not the only one he blackmailed.) The courtroom was already packed when Judge Madison briskly walked in, her gaze stern as they focused on a much slimmer looking Monroe. "....Monroe Smith, you have been found guilty of fraud and theft. This court has reviewed the evidence and heard testimony from your victims. Your actions have caused significant financial and emotional harm to numerous women and men." She added, her eyes scanning the room before refocusing on him. Carol couldn't h
