CHAPTER 446: ELEANOR'S TESTIMONY
Maddy felt a weight over her mind, and it lingered. It was there when she woke up in the morning, went to sleep at night, brushed her teeth, and ate breakfast. It was there as she showered and picked out her outfit. This weight sat majestically when she went grocery shopping, visited her lawyers, visited Eleanor, and had conversations with Ryan and everybody. It was a constant stabbing pain that could only be healed if she regained custody of her daughter; then, she'd be able to sleep peacefully without the feeling of constant guilt.
Then, she would be able to go out without the dreadful feeling that someone was waiting to mock her for not having custody of her child. She would see her lawyer to discuss payments and the way forward. They were also handing her case over to another family lawyer who they believed was an expert and could help her case.
