CHAPTER 449: RESTITCHING
Elizabeth's recovery was coming at a slow pace; she had to go back into surgery because she busted her stitch at home. She had called Lauretta that morning, screaming at the top of her lungs and asking her to bring help.
"We can't get there in time to help her, call the ambulance and have us meet up at the hospital." George suggested immediately. They were cuddled up and watching their favorite show when they received the call from her landline.
The light at the theatre door turned green from red, and the doctor walked out with a smile. "Thankfully, it was a minor surgery; if she had been a minute late, it would have been a major surgery." He seemed like someone who smiled when he talked and even when he was sad. George had said he was the type of doctor to smile while delivering the news of your dead loved one to you.
Elizabeth was released the following week with strict instructions. "I lied about how the stitch busted. I wasn't following my fiber-based diet, so I got constipated,
