After handling things at the Hayes house, Evelyn got a call from Charles.
Hearing she'd already settled everyone in, Charles insisted on coming over himself no matter what she said. Evelyn couldn't talk him out of it, so she ended up telling Franklin about it.
The moment he heard that the old man was coming in person, Franklin looked flustered. "How can we let an elder come all the way over here?" he said, half panicked. "We should be the ones visiting him."
He urged Evelyn to give Charles a call, but she just smiled, "Too late. He's already on his way."
Honestly, Charles hadn't even given her a chance to respond—he hung up almost instantly. He was probably already halfway to the villa when they talked.
Hearing that, Franklin looked even more apologetic. Evelyn picked up on it and tried to reassure him.
Before long, Charles showed up at the villa.
When he heard the Hayes patriarch's flight would arrive that afternoon, Charles beamed from ear to ear. He grabbed Franklin's hand, laughing
