Julian frowned, clearly annoyed. "You seriously couldn't shut them up? It's the middle of the night—who are you trying to scare to death?"

He exchanged a look with Alexander and silently motioned for him to do something about the noise.
Without a word, Alexander West popped open the trunk and pulled out two filthy rags.
He shoved one into George and the other into Amelia's mouth—both of them were already tied up and dumped on the ground like luggage.
