Not long after, Ursula hurried in, out of breath, and pushed a rolling case into Rosalie's hands.
"Rosa, I'm here. Did I make it?" she asked.
Rosalie took in her flushed cheeks and quickly said, "Right on time. Grab some water."
She wheeled the case to the console, snapped it open, and cabled everything together.
When she looked up, her gaze slid past the crowd and landed on Clement. "Mr. York, all set. We can start whenever you're ready."
More cameras poured in. A swarm of clout chasers smelled blood and crowded the aisles with long lenses, all pointed at Rosalie.
Clement let them be. In his mind, Rosalie had been riding too high, and some public pressure might put her in her place.
Noise stacked on noise until the ceiling seemed to hum.
"Oh my God! My company just migrated to Firmament. This is a nightmare!"
"Switch it back. The Internet is roasting her. They're calling her a thief."
The projector mirrored the official stream. The live chat flew by in a smear.
