Rosalie could sense that Julian's emotions were running high.
"Did something happen? Are you in trouble? Do you need my help?" she asked.
Julian's throat bobbed slightly as he answered in a low, hoarse voice. "No. I just missed you."
Rosalie hesitated, not knowing what to say.
They had only been apart for half a day. Still, for some reason, her heart softened. She reached out and pulled the folded collar from beneath his jacket, carefully smoothing it down. "I'm not going anywhere. You don't have to be in such a rush. Look, you even forgot to fix your collar."
