Chapter 36 Elijah's Growing Interest in Giselle

In the evening, Giselle had just walked in from the backyard garden when she saw Evan sitting in the living room, staring blankly at a photo. As soon as he noticed her, he quickly put it away. He looked up and smiled gently at her. "Finished with your work?" Giselle nodded lightly. As soon as she sat across from him, Evan thoughtfully poured her a glass of water. He observed her expression quietly, then casually mentioned Elijah's invitation. "They're hoping you can start at the lab soon. Do you have a specific schedule in mind?" Giselle was genuinely surprised. She had just met Elijah today, and now he was offering her a position. The words she had spoken earlier seemed to be coming to life. "How's Pamela?" she asked. At the mention of Pamela, Evan frowned with disgust. Seeing his expression, Giselle's curiosity grew. "Did Pamela find out?" she asked quietly. "No," Evan quickly reassured her. "Don't worry, it's not about you. Anna's gone completely crazy. She's not j
