Chapter 56 Warning
The next day, when Anna saw Pamela drenched in sweat, she immediately shot Giselle a displeased look.
"How are you taking care of my mom? Can't you at least wipe off her sweat?"
Giselle gave her a cold glance. "What does her sweat have to do with me? And shouldn't you have returned my mother's belongings by now?"
"I…" Anna panicked.
She avoided Giselle's gaze, stammering, "I'll give them back. Leave now. Get out of here."
Giselle didn't reply. She just stared at her in silence.
Anna snapped, "I said I'll give them back, so I will!"
Giselle withdrew her gaze, then cast a glance at Pamela lying in the hospital bed. "You'd better mean it. Otherwise, I can make Pamela die on the spot the same way I can make her stand up again."
Leaving those words behind, she turned and walked away before Anna's terrified stare.
…
Three days passed, and not only did Anna fail to hand over the ashes, but she even started avoiding Giselle altogether.
Giselle instantly saw through her intentions.
