**Thelma Zane’s POV** The newly appointed Rhode quickly found himself burdened with the weight of leadership. No longer able to enjoy the freedom of his prior life, he was thrust into a whirlwind of responsibilities. Transferring the affairs of governance from the temporary ruling council to his new administration was no small feat, and he faced an onslaught of doubts and opposition both from within his pack and beyond. It was a daunting transition, so demanding that Rhode often worked late into the night, sleeping in his office rather than at home. Despite my desire to help, I was constrained by the traditions of the Lycan pack, which strictly prohibited interference in the internal affairs of other packs. To act without consideration of these protocols would risk sending the wrong message, so I had no choice but to remain on the sidelines. Worse, I had to limit my contact with Rhode altogether to avoid raising suspicions. Even so, I found subtle ways to support him. Under my
