Scarlett's POV
I watched as the atmosphere around me felt warm and homely. I observed them laughing, talking happily with each other, and getting along well. Some were already as flushed as tomatoes but kept drinking as if there was no tomorrow. Some were teasing two people who wouldn't confess their feelings, while others, like me, just watched and ate and drank.
My thoughts paused when Kathleen pinched the side of my waist, nearly making me jump.
I looked at her. "What is it? You're already drunk."
Kathleen rolled her eyes and wiped her lips. "I'm not drunk. Anyway, how did my brother find out about it? How did you convince him not to get mad at me for doing such things?"
