Side Story 1 Scarlett's POV Six months had passed since we arrived back at the Nightshade after I was "kidnapped" by Natasha, the queen of the Dark Moon, who happened to be my grandmother. I hadn't expected her to be the queen, and more importantly, to be my mother's mother—which made her my grandmother. Such a small world indeed. After those events, I had spent the months with Lucien before returning to the Crescent Moon to see how it was doing. I let Coby continue to manage the pack, especially since Lucien wouldn't allow me to travel back and forth between Crescent Moon and Nightshade. There were also times when I spent weeks in Crescent Moon to train the warriors—which upset Lucien, especially after I told him I would go there alone, since he was managing Nightshade because Kathleen had requested a leave.
