Luke never saw this coming. Lillian had just finalized her divorce. One moment, a man claiming to be her "younger brother" had walked out the door, and the next, her first love had appeared.
And now, here Luke was—seated at a dinner table, face to face with Lillian's "first love," sharing a meal.
No amount of self-restraint could keep Luke's composure from cracking. As he cut into his steak, the grip on his knife and fork turned so tight that his knuckles went white.
