Chapter 174
Tristan's heart leaped with joy when he heard Cassandra's words.
If they were anywhere but Freeman Villa, he would have swept her into his arms and pinned her against the wall. He longed to claim everything that had to do with her.
Standing close by, Debra's face darkened as she watched the loving pair.
Her fists clenched tightly as she muttered, "Don't forget, Cassandra. You took something that belongs to someone else. So don't go acting all high and mighty. Aren't you ashamed?"
"Tristan and Cassie," Julia said, stepping in. "It's getting late. Why don't you stay here tonight? Tomorrow, we can all visit Eleanor together. What do you think?"
Tristan remained silent and glanced at Cassandra.
He knew her well. She was always mindful of how others felt.
She'd probably agree just to avoid upsetting Julia.
Still, Tristan had learned to catch even the smallest change in her expression. If she wasn't truly willing to stay, he would speak up for her.
"Sounds good," Cassandra replied.
