Tristan didn't stay long. When he saw that it was about time, he gave Cassandra a call, found out she was getting ready to head home, and stood up to leave.
Everyone around him froze. He had just arrived—why was he already leaving?
"Tristan, seriously? Are you that whipped?"
"You single guys wouldn't get it," Tristan said casually as he walked away, leaving the others exchanging glances in disbelief.

Meanwhile, Cassandra had just parted ways with Victoria when Tristan's call came in. She had planned to take a cab home, but Tristan said he was done with his business and would come to pick her up.
So, she waited by the roadside, carefully tucking his birthday gift back into her bag. His birthday hadn't arrived yet—she'd surprise him later.
It wasn't long before Tristan's car pulled up. Cassandra got in and said, "I could've just taken a cab."
"It's fine. I've dealt with my matters, anyway, and this is on the way," he replied as he started driving.
