When Cassandra sat down, she noticed two sets of polished cutlery and pristine dishes on the table, accompanied by two transparent wine glasses and a bottle of 1982 Bordeaux red wine.
She was a little surprised that Tristan had a thoughtful side to him. She thought they were just going out for a simple meal, but she hadn't expected him to plan such a surprise.
A moment later, Tristan walked over, carrying a stunning bouquet of red roses, seemingly conjuring it out of thin air. "These are for you. Do you like them?"
Cassandra's eyes widened instantly. She took the flowers, her heart bubbling with excitement. Was this the first time he'd ever given her flowers?
She took a deep breath, inhaling the fragrant scent of the roses. It was refreshing and soothing.
"Yes, I love them," Cassandra replied, her voice a bit shy.
Tristan's eyes were as deep and dark as obsidian, drawing her in like a magnetic force. One look, and it felt like they could pull her in entirely.
