Chapter 51 A Trap
Felicia had only managed to utter an address, and then the call abruptly ended. Sabrina stared at the disconnected phone, her displeasure evident.
Curtis had overheard the conversation on the phone and noticed Sabrina's unease.
He asked, "What's wrong? I saw your colleague calling you. It seemed like she really needed your help, but your expression tells me you're not too keen to help her."
"Her call was very strange. She could have sought help from someone else, but she chose to call me instead. The issue is, I'm nearly two hours away from 125 Wendy Street. A lot can happen in those two hours, so it doesn't make sense for her to call me instead of someone closer."
Curtis realized the issue from her response; it seemed something was indeed amiss.
Going to such lengths to avoid involving others and specifically reaching out to Sabrina indicated that this call was a trap. However, Sabrina couldn't fathom why Felicia had set up this trap for her.
