Chapter 109
Sylvia's POV
I leaned back in my office chair, eyes fixed on the ceiling as my mind spun through the mess of recent events.
The sudden change in Alpha Vargas's attitude seemed suspicious—almost as if he harbored some hidden agenda against me.

I almost dismissed it, assuming it was another round of reports or vendor updates.
But the subject line made my blood freeze.
Subject: Meeting Request – From the Office of Alpha Vargas

Dear Ms. Frost,
This is Emily Grant, executive assistant to Alpha Vargas.
Alpha Vargas has reviewed your recent outreach and would like to schedule a meeting to discuss the future of your companies' collaboration.
Would you be available tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at his downtown office?
Best regards,
Emily Grant
