Sylvia's POV
I could see the realization dawning in Leo's eyes—he had severely underestimated me, and it was going to cost him dearly. The truth hit him like a physical blow: I was far more dangerous than he had ever imagined.
Cold sweat beaded on his forehead as his lips trembled, unable to form a coherent response. I didn't waste any more breath on him. I'd made my point.
With a satisfied smirk, I turned and strode out of his office, my designer heels clicking rhythmically against the marble floor. Each step echoed like the countdown to his demise.
As I entered the main employee area, hushed whispers immediately spread through the office like wildfire.
"Sylvia? What's she doing here? Didn't she quit?"
"Who knows? Probably crawling back to beg Director Leo for her job."
The contemptuous murmurs floated around me, but I didn't dignify them with a response. My wolf stirred inside me, wanting to put these gossipers in their place, but I kept her calm. They'd learn soon enough.
