For the next week, Christopher was so busy that he barely had a moment to catch his breath. He ordered the PR department to release a statement claiming that the photos and videos were all digitally fabricated by malicious individuals. He even found a few scapegoats to take the blame. Only then did Reed Corporation's stock, which had been falling sharply for days, barely manage to stabilize. When Christopher emerged from his office, the once charismatic president of the company now had stubble covering his jaw and dark circles shadowing his tired eyes.
