"I don't have solid evidence. It'd be pointless to call the cops." Lorraine had no intention of reporting the incident, but she had no intention of letting Ambrose off the hook either.
"Dad, you need to be more careful around Ambrose from now on. He's morally corrupt. I'm worried he'll pull something even more despicable."
Frederick frowned. "I must have been blind to take him in as my student."
Lorraine smiled bitterly. He wasn't the only one who'd been blind.
Just then, Lucy knocked on the study door again.
"Perhaps you should take a look at him, Lorraine," she said hesitantly.
Lorraine walked over to the window. Ambrose was kneeling on the pebble-lined path outside the gate. His fairly handsome face had been beaten black and blue by Justin.
Lorraine averted her gaze and turned around. "Call the cops, Lucy."
Lucy had never liked Ambrose. With Lorraine's approval, she turned around and dialed the cops.
