On the rocks, a figure stood, thin and trembling. It's Anna.
“You tore apart our marriage… for her? Ten years, Andrew! Ten!” Her scream scraped raw. “High school to now! You promised! ‘Never apart’—you swore it!”
“Enough!” Andrew roared—but his hand still clung to mine.
“I gave your family half the company shares! That baby you lost? The one you used to frame Louise?” A harsh laugh. “Wasn’t even mine! I owe you nothing!”
So that’s why… The timing never fitted. I knew their visits and the dates. Before I could speak, Anna stumbled toward the churning water.
“You love me! Come back! Or I jump—right now!”
Living by this sea taught me its rage, tides swallowing fools whole. And Anna always been fire and threats.
I wrenched free. “Go help her first—— stop her from doing anything rash! We can talk later!” But Andrew didn’t move.
He even shouted at Anna in a tone that was almost a growl. “Jump then! Just do it! Three years of this! Threats. Lies. ‘I’ll die if you leave!
