Tamara’s crystal clear eyes widened slightly as she hurried over. “James?”
James was wearing a black windbreaker and looked as if he had lost a bunch of weight. However, he was still sporting his usual gentle smile. His eyes seemed to smile as he looked at her.
“Tamara, long time no see.”
Tamara pulled the door open and took a closer look at the man.
It really had been ages since they last saw each other.
She hadn’t seen him since what happened four years ago. Furthermore, the man seemed to have disappeared into thin air at that point. She had heard no news about him.
James said softly, “I’d like to apologize for what happened all those years ago. I got close to you for an ulterior motive and even purposely put your life on the line. I’m really sorry.”
Tamara suddenly smiled. “But if it hadn’t been for you, I would’ve died a long time ago.”
