Shannon showed no signs of backing down. Her eyes were cold as she fixed her gaze on Alex and continued, "Plus, Zane helped me earlier." Shannon's words showed her stance and reminded everyone present of what'd happened at the banquet. Adam gave Zane a deep look and turned his sharp gaze to Alex. "Shannon's right. Zane's issues are a matter for the entire Jensen family. Step aside for now." Noticing that Alex was about to argue, he added, "If you can't control your temper, I'll get Shannon to seal your mouth. That will no longer be a younger Jensen disrespecting an elder because she'll act on my orders." Everyone understood that a younger member of the Jensen family acting against an elder would reflect poorly. But if it was an elder brother disciplining his younger sibling through his daughter, that was a different matter altogether. Alex realized how serious Adam was and wouldn't like to be silenced by Shannon in front of the family, so he begrudgingly sat back on the couch.
