Alex decided to consider the money as buying Zane more life. Though he hadn't valued Zane much, he'd never been stingy with money. Plus now that Zane possessed the so-called power of words, it seemed even more impressive than Shannon's abilities. Alex decided to think of it as an investment in Zane. Perhaps seeing through his thoughts, George said in a serious tone, "Let's do as Shannon suggests. After today, everyone in the circle will know that Zane can talk. If outsiders try to force him to talk, you all must step in to stop them. "As for his power of words, no one is allowed to reveal even a single word about it." As he said so, his gaze landed on Alex, who felt his heart tighten and protested loudly, "Dad! He's my son! I'm least likely to spill the beans!" George withdrew his gaze nonchalantly and continued, "I wasn't talking about you. I'm saying you must not tell Linda either." Though Linda was Zane's biological mother, she'd never cared about him since he was a child.
