At a hospital in Porthaven City, Anthony underwent a full medical examination conducted by Rowan.
Afterward, Rowan handed a blood sample to Lily.
"Take this to the hematology department. I'll take him for a CT scan. If we split up, it'll be faster."
"Alright." She took the sample and left.
Once she disappeared around the corner, Rowan quickly pulled Xavier into the ward.
Anthony lay shirtless on the bed. Aside from the fresh, bleeding wound on his chest, his body was covered in a patchwork of old and new scars. Even his wrists bore horrifying marks.
"Judging from these scars, he'd been living in hell this past year," Rowan said grimly. "Fresh wounds layered over old ones, and looking at the pattern, none of this was done by someone else. He just used whatever he could find to hurt himself."
He exhaled heavily. Every mark on Anthony's body was a silent cry for death.
And it had gone on for nearly a year—right when Harold had been busy trying to whitewash his reputation.
