Since Chase had blocked all of Serena's friends as well, she immediately went back home to vent to her family. "Dad! Mom! Grandma! You all knew Chase was leaving, so why didn't anyone tell me?" Gloria replied coolly, "What good would telling you have done? I warned you countless times not to be so careless with people's feelings. Hearts can only take so much before they break. Did you ever listen to me?" "But you never said he was leaving!" Gloria smiled slightly. "And what if I had? When Chase was kicked out of the house by you, he came back to pack his things, didn't he? "You were living together, and he cleared out every single one of his belongings. If you'd paid even the slightest attention, how could you not have known? Didn't you realize then that he was leaving? What did you do about it?" Serena clenched her fists, her nails digging deep into her palms, but she didn't feel it. At the time, she'd assumed Chase was just having a tantrum, doing that whole dramatic storming-
