Others might not have recognized it, but Yasmine did. It was Erin's favorite doll, the one she carried everywhere.
Yasmine often complained about how strange it looked. It was soft and squishy, and that odd shade of green didn't help. Still, Erin adored it and never let it out of her sight. Why was it here? Yasmine struggled to make sense of it.
Suzanne glanced over, her brows furrowing when she spotted the doll in Yasmine's hands. "Is that Erin's?"
It was the only explanation she could think of for why Yasmine was examining it so intently.
Yasmine didn't try to hide the truth. She nodded and replied, "Yes. She always carries this with her."
Suzanne looked down at the corpse. "Maybe he brought it with him."
Yasmine shook her head, disbelief evident in her eyes. "That doesn't seem likely…"
