Suzanne looked up toward Austin instinctively, only to see him gazing at her with a deep look in his eyes. Automatically, she scanned the people around her and only felt a little more at ease when she saw that everyone else had their focus on the host instead. She looked at her phone again. Austin: "I'll take you out for a meal after this ends." He showed no intention of hiding the status of their relationship. Suzanne paused helplessly for a moment before replying to Austin. "Nah. We should avoid the public eye." As much as she was fearless when people pushed her right into the eye of the storm, she did not wish to go through all that trouble.
