Chapter 40

Hearing his plea, my resolve weakened. I couldn't fight him anymore so I hugged him back instead. I could feel myself slowly succumb to the warmth of his hold but I still didn't pull away. I wanted this; rather, I needed this. A warm hug, to reassure me that I wasn't alone anymore. A hug that showed me that no matter what happens, he will always here for me. I sighed softly as I listened to the rhythmic beating of his heart. I wish we could stay like that for a very long time. But with me, good things don't last long because he suddenly pulled out of the hug, before reaching the said time limit. I raised my head to stare at him, wondering why he broke off the hug so soon. I noticed he was staring at nothing in particular, the expressions on his face were changing so much in such little time. Is he receiving a mindlink. Then, he snapped out of it and moved his enchanting eyes to stare at me. "You have visitors." He said with a small smile. Visitors? Who coukd be visiting me in his home?
