Still, my interest was piqued by his words; "You do? What is it?" I asked immediately.
"You'll see." He muttered before signaling to one of the maids that was standing in the dinning hall.
She left and came back almost immediately with a small box in her hand. Then, she placed it on the space next to my plate.
My eyes widened; "Is this?"
"I realized you didn't have any when you left today and I had no way of reaching out to you. So I bought you one." He explained.
"Wow.." I picked up the boxed up phone, my eyes glittering with appreciation.
"Thank you so much." I muttered.
"Anything for you Avery." He replied.
It was a hassle to go to unfamiliar places without a phone and I didn't really have the time and energy to go get myself one but he did it without blinking an eye.
Since he helped me with this, I think this is also the perfect time to ask;
"Marcus.." I called out.
"Yeah.." He took a spoonful of food into his mouth.
