101. Weight of Choices

My blood boiled as I watched Kael and Cassandra from across the room. The way they had tried to twist the situation, to make Lilac the villain, made my wolf snarl beneath the surface. Hunter was clawing at the edges of my control, demanding retribution. I wanted to tear them apart, to make them pay for every ounce of pain they had caused Lilac. But I held back, barely. My fists clenched at my sides, my jaw tight as I fought to keep my composure.
Kael was an idiot, a puppet at most and Cassandra was a cunning bitch and a whore. She used to claim my mother was close to her. But it didn't even take a year after my mother's death, for her to spread her legs before my father. She did everything she could to torture me and push me away. I was just a child back then but she showed no mercy.
Alexander’s voice broke through the haze of my anger.
“Don’t make a scene. I know them well. Stay calm and they won't be able to push it any further. Let’s grab a drink,” he said
