Those words felt like melodies to Elijah’s ear. ‘Give us a try’, she had said, and Elijah was left staring at her with a blank expression, unsure if he heard right. “W-what?” He stuttered. “Us, Elijah,” Amara repeated, but gone was that unsure look in her eyes. She looked certain of every word that came out of her mouth, every emotion she was feeling and whatever situation was currently going on.
