This time, the passersby figured out what was going on. They began mocking Susan.
"It turns out that she's just an irresponsible fake, and she made all that fuss too."

Susan covered her face with her hands and sprinted away.
Basking in the anticipation of my upcoming wedding, I didn't allow my good mood to be affected by such a small issue.
Soon, it was time for our wedding. Samuel had planned a grand wedding. Every part of it was carefully curated, as though some of the gods above would witness our union and bless us.
